No matter whether you're an avid pop fan or not, the name Harry Styles rings a bell. Early life

Born on February 1, 1994, Harry Styles grew up in the lovely Cheshire community of Holmes Chapel, around 21 miles south of Manchester. Harry's mother is Anne Cox, his father is Des Styles, and his stepfather, Robin Twist, died in 2017. Gemma, Harry's older sister, is a model and writer, and Mike Twist, their stepbrother, is Robin's son from a previous relationship.

Harry auditioned as a solo artist for the seventh series of The X Factor, singing a cover of Steve Wonder's Isn't She Lovely?. Although impressing the judges, he failed to advance into the next round. He and four other lads who didn't make the cut were grouped together.

When Zayn announced his departure from the band in 2015, Harry, Niall, Louis, and Liam decided to continue as a four-piece. They stated in 2016 that they would be taking a long break to focus on their solo careers and individual chances.

Following the sabbatical, Harry established his own label, Erskine Records, and signed as a solo artist with Columbia Records in June 2016. Because Columbia had already been releasing One Direction's songs, this was a no-brainer, but Harry also signed with new management during this time.

Harry launched his debut solo single, Sign of the Times, which went straight to Number 1 in the UK, becoming a hit as the power ballad received a BRIT Award for British Video of the Year. In 2017, Harry released two more singles from the album, Two Ghosts, and Kiwi as well as a documentary chronicling the album's creation.

Throughout the first half of 2018, Harry performed on his first solo tour, Harry Styles: Live On Tour. Beginning in late 2017, he toured arenas all over the world in 2018, doing nearly 90 gigs. In early 2018, Harry also performed with the iconic band Fleetwood Mac, with whom he has since forged a strong bond.

Lights Up was the first single to be released from Harry's second album Fine Line and debuted at Number 3 in the UK, followed by Adore You with an extended video showing his creative and quirky side. It debuted at Number 1 in the UK and Rolling Stone ranked it at Number 491 in their 2020 list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.

In February 2020, Harry released the video for the heartbreaking song Falling, which he performed at the 2020 BRIT Awards. The star released Watermelon Sugar in May 2020 before sharing the video for the fifth single from his second album, Golden. Fans went nuts for the video, which received 7 million views in a single day.

March 2021: Treat People with Kindness

Harry has started 2021 in style by releasing the video for the up-tempo toe-tapper Treat People with Kindness, which features himself and Fleabag actor Phoebe Waller-Bridge dancing in a very glamorous old-school film. The video's popularity sent the song back into the top half of the charts, reaching Number 2 56 weeks after its first release!

At the 63rd annual Grammy Awards, Harry kicked off the ceremony by performing his 2020 hit Watermelon Sugar, and later in the ceremony received his first Grammy Award for Best Pop Solo Performance for Watermelon Sugar.

Spring 2021: Don't Worry Darling

Following his involvement in Dunkirk in 2017, Harry landed a leading part alongside Florence Pugh in the upcoming psychological horror film Don't Worry Darling. Olivia Wilde is directing and starring in the film, and she and Harry have become close on set and are now dating.

Harry took home his second BRIT Award at the 2021 ceremony, winning British Single for Watermelon Sugar. Harry humbly told the crowd that he was ‘continually baffled’ by ‘moments like this’, making him more ‘grateful to get to do this job’. He also paid tribute to the key workers in the audience for their perseverance during the pandemic.
