Matt Hancock is a British politician who served as the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care in the UK government from 2018 to 2021. He was a Member of Parliament (MP) for the Conservative Party, representing the constituency of West Suffolk since 2010.

During an appearance on BBC Radio 4's Today programme, Matt was asked about the policy that allows fracking in National Parks. However, he failed to identify any specific village that favoured the controversial gas extraction technique.

Matt had the brilliant idea to create a mobile application to inform his constituents of his activities, but it was subsequently discovered that the app collected personal data from users, albeit with their consent.

The UK Statistics Authority criticised Matt Hancock after it was revealed that the goal he had established of conducting 100,000 daily Covid tests had only been accomplished by changing the method of counting.

It seems like October 2020 was a tricky time for Matt Hancock. During an interview on ITV's Good Morning Britain, Piers Morgan ridiculed him after he praised the government's reversal on providing free school meals in response to a campaign led by footballer Marcus Rashford and others, despite having previously voted against their funding.

Mr. Hancock was deemed to have acted unlawfully at the beginning of the pandemic when a High Court judge found that he had awarded PPE contracts without adhering to the Contract Award Notices protocol, which required him to reveal the recipients within 30 days. He only did so after 47 days had past.

During his appearance before MPs, Dominic Cummings, Boris. Johnson's controversial adviser, stated that government mishandling had resulted in the unnecessary deaths of tens of thousands of individuals during the pandemic. He also remarked that Matt Hancock should have been fired on "15 to 20" separate occasions.

Even though Boris stated that he had forgiven Matt and considered the issue to be "closed", att resigned in disgrace. Following his resignation, he also separated from his wife of 15 years, an osteopath named Martha Hoyer Millar, with whom he has three children.
