The English presenter is a household name to radio listeners and TV viewers in the UK. He has been hosting and presenting several major shows on multiple radio stations and television channels for nearly 40 years. He served as the first in-vision presenter for Children's BBC and is currently co-presenter of some programs on ITV. Phillip Bryan Schofield was born on 1 April 1962 in Oldham, Lancashire. His father Brian Schofield is a businessman and his mother Pat Schofield is a homemaker. Schofield has dual British and New Zealand citizenship. He spent his childhood in Newquay, Cornwall.

The broadcaster Phillip Schofield attended Trenance Infant School before transferring to Newquay Tretherras School. After attending his primary school in Cornwall, he completed his graduation at a Local College.

Early media career

Early media career

From his elementary school, the television presenter was more interested in various extra-curricular activities rather than in studying. He was 15 when he first worked on a Sunday show on Hospital Radio Plymouth.

When Schofield’s family returned to Britain, he worked as a presenter for BBC Children's in Broom Cupboard in September 1985. He became the first in-vision continuity presenter for BBC Children's.

Moved to programs for adults

Moved to programs for adults

Schofield quit the kid-orientated television schemes and started to present various programs for adults. For instance, he presented the five series Talking Telephone Numbersfrom 1994 to 1997.

The National Lottery Winning Lines Presenter

The National Lottery Winning Lines Presenter

Between June 2001 and October 2004, the broadcast presenter became the official presenter of the National Lottery Winning Lines for BBC One. In 2002, he co-hosted with Anne Robinson a BBC quiz show Test the Nation.

Apart from his reputation as a Radio and TV presenter, Phillip Schofield launched Radio Plymouth in Devon in England. In February 2010. The local radio station has become part of the regional station, Greatest Hits Radio South West.

Dancing on Ice

Dancing on Ice

From 2006 to 2014, Schofield was a presenter of ITV’s Dancing on Ice with the co-presenters Holly Willoughby and Christine Bleakley. After five years away, he came back to co-present the show to relaunch the series.

60-years old presenter presented The Cube game show on ITV between 2009 and 2015. Schofield hosted with Amanda Holden the annual awards ceremony A Night of Heroes: The Sun Military Awards, from 2009 to 2014.

Added to his reputation as a presenter, Phillip Schofield performed in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoaton West End Stage in 1991. Moreover, he also took a small role in another musical theatre Doctor Dolittle at the Hammersmith Apollo in London.

The Main presenter of ITV

The veteran presenter has been hosting some of the biggest shows on the screen on various TV channels. He is the main presenter of This Morning and has co-hosted several shows on ITV. Since March 2017, he has hosted a new game show on ITV called 5 Gold Rings.
